Overview

The product is a native app for Android and iOS whose purpose is to enable the distributers to inspect and report issues for the goods delivered to them. Additionally they can see the goods that will be delivered to them in the future, look for any deliveries in the past and complete the necessary formalities while accepting these deliveries.

Goals

• Control & correct inventory at the warehouse 
• Ensure operations in the warehouse are running smoothly
• Ensure quality of goods received adheres required standards & maintain report
• Tracking of upcoming deliveries

Tasks

• Conduct a physical check of the inventory and cross checking it against BOL
• Raise service requests for damaged goods by clicking & uploading pictures
• Follow up on the service requests
• Check deliveries for the week and plan receiving and inspection of shipments

Pain Points

• Not being aware of what is going to be delivered
• Manually matching individual line items to the BOL or/and Sales order
• Manually entering of receiving inventory into their system line by line
• Manually entering inspection notes into their system
• Inspection notes get misplaced often 
• Raising Service Request for damaged goods is a tedious process
• Unable to create Service Request after product sits into the inventory as shipments shown are maximum 30 days in the past

The Impact

The product reduced time taken and increased accuracy of raising service requests. It also streamlined receiving shipments and inspection of products across distributers. The product pilot received great response from the distributors and the product will be scaled to more countries
